In the current era of constant change, the role of teachers is steadily expanding. It has become increasingly crucial to continually refine the teaching skills of educators to meet the inquisitive nature of eager students. Recognising this significant aspect, The World School recently organized a 5-day Induction Programme for teachers, in collaboration with The Paramount Public School and The Diamond School, both operating under the Knowledgucate Group.
The programme proved to be highly beneficial, providing teachers with a comprehensive understanding of various topics, including Creative Teaching, Curriculum Planning, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Blue-Print Lesson Planning, Framing Question Papers, Time Management, Child Abuse, and the effective use of ConnectEd. Teaching with a Difference- Team work, Teacher as a Professional. Engaging in both group learning and independent learning tasks, teachers actively embraced advanced organizers and adopted flipped classroom approaches to identify impactful teaching strategies. The incorporation of informative videos further enhanced the training experience. As a gesture of support, take-home handouts were provided to the participants.
The programme featured distinguished resource persons, namely Mr Barry Rodrigues, Principal of Diamond School, Mrs N Shivajyothi, Principal of Paramount Public School and Mrs Sini Antony, Principal of The World School. The teachers expressed their gratitude for the invaluable insights they gained, which are expected to contribute to their growth as educators. Overall, this immersive experience proved to be highly enriching for all involved.
