Independence Day Celebration at The World School

Independence Day Celebration at The World School

The World School proudly celebrated Independence Day on August 15th, commemorating the 76th year of India’s freedom. The school premises radiated with the tricolour, creating a sense of patriotism.

The day’s proceedings began with the school principal hoisting the national flag. This was followed by a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem, sung in unison by students, teachers, and staff. The collective voice of the school community resonated with unity and respect.

Subsequent to the flag hoisting, a diverse cultural programme took centre stage. Students from different grades showcased their talents through a medley of performances. These ranged from patriotic songs and dances to speeches and action songs, complete with costumes representing various Indian states. Each performance served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and underscored the significance of upholding our national heritage.

As the event drew to a close, sweets were distributed to all attendees, symbolizing camaraderie, and shared joy. Beyond the festivities, the day served as a profound reminder of the value of our hard-won freedom and the collective responsibility to contribute to the nation’s progress.

The World School’s Independence Day celebration successfully instilled a sense of patriotism, unity, and cultural reverence among its community members
